The Blog Gods

Good Morning!  The Blog Gods were against me today.  In addition to the technology woes of today, I think we had a weather first.  Truly.  Unless I'm mistaken.

I woke up at 6am this morning and it was POURING.  Now I've said before that I like the rain.  It's true - I do like the rain.  It's nice - makes the air feel all nice and fresh.  Nobody is usually out in the Park so it's all quiet and you get some good zone-out time.  That type of rain does not include the downpour that was this morning.  So...I reluctantly went back to bed.  Now I'm not sure I've ever had bad enough weather to send me back to bed.  I've been sick, busy, overslept, etc...but I don't think weather has ever sent me back to bed.  That's actually pretty surprising considering I started this blog in September.

So.....I
got up again at 7:15.  Made coffee, got oatmeal fixings out, showered, said goodbye to Brian and then walked Sofie her pitiful 2 laps round the block.  It was ok because it was still raining and she doesn't like hard rain, either.  She likes soft drizzle.  I still feel guilty when I have to do that because it's her only real time to run around off her leash during the day.

I took a picture of the gloominess to post, but unfortunately I can't post it because I can't find my camera cord.  It's around here somewhere.  I was cleaning recently so I probably moved it somewhere thinking it was the iPod cord.  Blog Gods #2 = my computer was completely out of juice and I left the charger in lab.  So I'm typing this from Brian's computer now.

I have class at 9:30 (the last class before I have my next Cell Bio test...eeek!).  However, I need my computer charger to plug in and take notes during clas (you may be rolling your eyes at my tech dependence.  It's true, I could just take handwritten notes.  The thing is, I type way faster than I write).  Who takes hand-written notes anymore???  So I somehow have to get into the lab before class, which is harder than it sounds.  For one, I have a key to the outer door, but not a key to the inner door.  That's great for when I want to get in the lab and stand in the hallway!  Not so good if I want to accomplish anything more than stare at the bulletin board and have a conical cup of water from the water cooler.  Hoping that someone is in before 9. (Unlikely since the boss is out of town). I then have a meeting at 11:45, work, then class again from 3:30-5.

In addition to all that I'm feeling a little gross today.  I think it might have something to do with the fact that I had THREE adult beverages last night, coupled with absolutely no workout, and a massive delicious dinner.

I think today is just a roll-with-the-punches type day.

Here's to rainy days!
