Good morning! COME ON SPRING!! It's pretty out - flowers blooming etc...but it's also 34 degrees. This has been a little bit of a rough week. When I say "rough," I mean it in the most pansy-assed way it could be meant. (Sorry for cursing).
I'm totally a creature of habit - almost obsessively so. When I don't adhere to a routine, I feel like my life is spiraling out of control - I know...I'm not dramatic at all ;)
So by routine, I need to have something made for lunch on Sunday evening so that I have something healthy to eat all week. I also need to get a workout in in the morning. It's amazing how not doing those 2 things really impacts my frame of mind. They seem simple and small, but they're really fundamental to my week running smoothly. Last night I forgot to set my alarm and so I woke up 30 minutes late today - making me unable to get to the gym or go running - yet AGAIN. I'm also out of basically everything I use frequently - lentils, sunflower seeds, walnuts, coconut, tahini, bread, etc...I did turn in my final draft of my ACE yesterday afternoon - so now we wait. We wait for the reviews and to schedule the oral exam. Feels good. Ready to get back going in the lab.
I'm SO looking forward to this weekend and the chance to catch up and get myself together. I want to see my sister and go to the Co-op to get some of the thigns I'm hopelessly out of. Then I plan to make a big pot of red lentil soup and possibly also tomato soup to have around, too.
What sorts of weird things do you need for your weeks/days to run smoothly???
