Good morning, good morning!
The top of my picture got cut off because I had Sofie on her lead and she pulled to chase after a bird just as I was going to snap the picture. I can't believe how fast this week has gone by. I feel like I just got back from Oregon yesterday. I jumped right back into the frying pan as far as work goes. I started my rotation yesterday and I was feeling pretty overwhelmed with the work already. Luckily I found another guy in the lab named Yan who offered to oversee and teach me how to do the cloning. Thank God. I also spoke with one of the long-term techs in the lab and she told me she would help me with anything also (i.e. where to find things, how the lab might do little things differently than others, etc...). Now I'm feeling much better and more confident. I've never actually had a project where I didn't have an immediate overseer that taught me how to do everything first. This will be a challenge for sure. Nothing great every came easy I suppose!
