Central Park East - 6:45am
Good morning! Sofie and I took a different route today so we could have some variety. I liked it because it has different plants, trees, people, and dogs. I didn't like it because it had too many road crossings. Unless I can optimize that by finding some more tunnels, I don't think we'll be sticking to it. There are no cars in Central Park before 8am, but this is the time when the cyclists are allowed to ride really fast and take up the whole road. It can be really dangerous for dogs and for the riders and it's not infrequent to hear some guy or gal went flying over their handlebars trying to stop for a dog that has run into the road. Hopefully I can find some optimal new route - we shall see.
