Central Park East - 7:00am
Good morning! We're back! We're back in black - in the Park! We took an extra-long walk this morning because it was so lovely to be in the Park. As I expected, the snow made the doggies extra rambunctious.
Since starting this blog up over a year ago, I've experienced all sorts of hots and warms and cools and crisps and colds and bitter colds and f*ck that's colds.
This morning was a "rosy cheeks" cold. A "merry" cold. A "I-could-picture-this-scene-on-the-front-of-a-christmas-card cold." It was sunny, crisp, and the cold left a nice feeling in your lungs. It was picturing myself out on the range - living in some little house made out of logs (oh, right, a log cabin), crunching around in the snow in my boots as I went to feed the horses when it was still dark out - accompanied by my faithful ranch dogs (no, no...not a big lab or Pointer, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels). Brian would go drive out to the woods in his gator to chop fire wood and then we would go tend to more ranch things. Maybe training our ranch hounds to chase away bears & other predators. I would cross country ski in to town for the rations. I don't know - I have weird fantasy alter lives.
Anyway - that's a little snapshot of what I was picturing myself doing while I was in fact passing LaDuree Macarons, Ralph Lauren Purple Label, and Bergdorf Goodman's.
Carpe diem,
J
