Good morning! I forgot to post the top photo yesterday. It's a bit grainy - not so good but that shows how early I was up yesterday! *More proof this is the city that never sleeps. Entirely lit up at 6am. This was a beautiful morning. Cold but that crisp blue winter sky. Invigorating. The leaves still on the trees are vibrant reds, oranges, yellows, and browns. They were gorgeous against the bright blue sky backdrop.
I am currently enjoying a delicious slice of homemade lemon almond poppyseed bread from my friend Kerry. It goes wonderfully with coffee. It will take all I have to not eat more :) It just so happens that Kerry and her fiancé Eric, will be traveling off to Taiwan for Thanksgiving to celebrate their engagement with family. To help them out, we will be watching their 2 mini poodles, Ollie and Brandy, for a few days while they are away :) Ollie is brown and Brandy is black - they are adorable. So - starting this evening, we will have not 2 but 4 dogs in our 1 bedroom apartment. I think I forgot to mention that our dogs love each other, too. They play NONSTOP. To thank us, Kerry & Eric stopped by yesterday with a 6 pack of Yuengling, a loaf of homemade lemon almond poppyseed bread, and homemade blackberry pie - which I've been told has no butter but I can't believe that (it's SO GOOD! I had it for dessert last night and contemplated having some for breakfast ;)). The moral of this story is - Kerry - I'll watch your dogs anytime if I'm getting more baked goods!
