Hi y'all! This Friday morning was glorious. Maybe you can see why? They had THE GREAT LAWN all open for us to romp around on! Ok, maybe it wasn't for us to romp around on. Maybe it had a little something to do with the fact that this Saturday night is the Major League Baseball All-Star Charity Concert for Sandy Relief starring the NY Philharmonic Orchestra. They were setting up for massive numbers of people to be on the lawn listening to great music. However, it also meant that the doggies were very, very happy. It was also just a smidgen cooler this morning and less humid than it's been of late. It's been truly awful the past 2 days. This morning there was at least a breeze and I didn't feel like I was mucking through a steam room.
The doggies could feel it too as they were much more active - chasing each other and other dogs. They actually played today - as opposed to just trudging along behind me (which has been what Sofie does the last few days).
I'm already looking forward to Fall!
Yesterday was my last morning of teaching so today I'm back to full-time life in the lab - which is good - it's where I want to be. We have a busy weekend coming up! Potentially a date at Vitae tonight followed by agility and a meeting for the Doggie Dash tomorrow, and then the Doggie Dash for the NYC triathlon on Sunday! Bear and I will be representing Good Dog, Tired Dog - our new side business.
Have a great weekend! Catch you on Monday :-)
Peace,
J
