Central Park East - 7:15am
Good morning! There was another beautiful sunrise this morning - 3 in a row - but I thought it would be overkill to document it for you...again. So, in lieu of that I thought I'd show you the back of the Met. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, that is. For the longest time I thought this was the NY conservatory of music (I'm so embarassed that I told people that). I know now for sure that this is one side of the Met because I was in there. The hall just inside those windows is filled with ancient Greek sculptures.
This morning Sofie made lots of friends because there were tons of tree-trimmer guys in the Park. Maybe they take down some of the excess branches when there's going to be snow, so that the trees are protected from having downed limbs? Either way - they were everywhere. So a bunch of them heard me yell, "Sofie! Come here." So they started yelling for Sofie and she looked up all crazy-eyed and ran to them as though they were long lost friends. Then they were whistling for her and giving her pets and such. She was wiggling out of control and trying to kiss faces and all such. Then she didn't want to leave them - but when I got out of sight she ran to me. It was very cute.
I havn't been to BagelWorks since I've been back for X-mas b/c I've been trying to eat less carbs - but today is a BagelWorks day! I'm going to go get a good NYC everything bagel toasted with veggie cream cheese and a big coffee. It's going to be soooo goooood I can't wait!
This evening we are going to do my X-mas gift to Brian, which was a trip to the Brooklyn Kitchen (down in Williamsburg, Brooklyn) to do this big group cooking lesson to learn to make some good Italian dishes with some extra good wine. I've never done one of these before but I'm really excited because I think the food is going to be realllllly good. And I don't get to go to Brooklyn too often so it'll be nice to get out off of Manhattan for once!
Have a great weekend!!
