Central Park East - 7:25am

Good morning!  I have to say, today just really feels like Spring.  It was warm enough that I didn't need to wear a hat or gloves - that's a first for like...the whole Winter.  I felt so unburdened without being bundled to the max!  It's definitely getting lighter out at the time when I leave.  Before, when I left the apartment sometime around 6:20-6:30, it was pitch black out.  Now, when I wake up even earlier than that, there's already weak little rays of light coming through the blinds.  It makes it much easier.  Aside from that, there are so many bird songs in the Park!  This morning I saw 3 Blue Jays.  I always forget how stunning Blue Jays are - they really are quite breathtaking.  I had a very slow walk because I kept trying to get close enough to one of the Blue Jays to take a picture, but every time it looks like I'm focusing on something, Sofie notices, wants to get in on the fun, and scares the bird away before I can get a shot.  She's a terrible hunter - not stealthy at all.

There have also been a lot more people out this week.  It's nice to have the Park to your self sometimes, but it's also very nice to see and speak with the same people every day.  There's a woman in the Park with a hound dog also named Sophie.  She LOVES my Sofie.  This morning she asked for the name of my breeder because she and her husband want to get a Cavalier and they've "never seen a cuter, more friendly one than Sofie."  I told her gladly but she better not think she's getting the pick of this Spring's litter - that's for me and Brian :)  (Yes, we are planning on another for the late Spring).  Yes, if you're wondering, I am crazy.  But I'm free to make my own crazy choices - that's the beauty of living in Amerrikuh.  Life is great with 1 dog, so the goodness can only be multiplied with 2 dogs :)

Finally, see the picture above?!  The ultimate sign of Spring has arrived! The daffodils are coming up!  Daffodils are my 2nd favorite flower behind Tulips - also wonderful Springtime flowers.

Seize the day!!
